OUR SERVICES
At Alabama Motor Works, we build 5.0L AJ133 and 3.0L AJ126 Land Rover engines. Our team of experienced professionals specializes in Range Rover engine rebuilding. We will take your Land Rover engine, clean and inspect for any defects and remedy them. The process starts with the teardown, cleaning & inspecting, rebuilding and boxing. We will install new bearings, valves, pistons and rings during the restoration and rebuilding process.
TEARDOWN
When the engine arrives at our facility you will be notified via the email you have on file. A process involving removal of the timing components, heads, cams, valves, mains, rods, pistons and crank. The items are then cataloged and tagged. Photos are taken of any components with damage
REBUILD
The rebuild process begins with the heads. The valves are matted to the heads at this point. New seals and valves are installed and pressure tested.
CLEAN
The parts are then cleaned using various methods that include degreaser, hot water and vatting. The heads, cams, caps, mains, rods and VVTs are cleaned using a ultrasonic system. The Block and heads are then cleaned using a high pressure washing system. All parts are dried sprayed to protect against rust.
BOXING
We use a create designed to protect your engine during shipping
INSPECT
Each engine component inspected and speced for tolerances. The heads are checked for valve seat wear and replaced as needed. The crank is checked along with the camshafts.
